38 weeks and 4 days

KABOOM!
I don't know how it's possible, but my tummy and the baby just keep on growing!

You'd think she would have run out of room by now,
but she's still in there kicking and stretching all the time.

Doctor says it could be any time now....

37 Weeks!

Still growing!

My belly button is still an "innie"
...me and Michael are pretty interested to see if it'll pop out and become an "outie."

Third Trimester Ultrasound

We had our third trimester ultrasound, which is the last routine ultrasound done to make sure that she's still growing and developing well.

It was incredible to see how much she's grown!  Sooo big, that it was difficult to get a view of her on the screen...we could only see individual parts a few at a time.  The tech also kept mentioning how hard it was to measure her since she wouldn't sit still long enough to measure her, which is why it took so long.

Although she wiggled the whole time, she did settle down long enough for one picture of her sucking her thumb.  :)

...this is probably the last time we'll "see" her before the her birthday.

Our Nightly Ritual

Just about every night, Michael talks to the baby about his day, and asks her how hers was.
She's really come to recognize his voice.  As soon as he starts talking, she starts moving around and kicking.  So cute :)

Spring Break and Maternity Leave!

Yesterday was my last day of work for the year, can you believe it?!  Today was my official first day of spring break, and really, of my maternity leave too!  I'd been soooo busy at work preparing for my long-term sub to take over.  I was finishing up IEPs and lesson plans for the last 10 weeks of school that I won't be there for.  It was so stressful, and I'm so glad it's over so now I can finally relax and focus on getting ready for the baby to come.  Actually, that's a lie.  I still have 2 classes that I'm taking at CSUF to clear my credential, but at least I can do all the course work from home and just attend the classes online.  Still a lot of work, but at least I don't have to go to work too.

Anyways, yesterday was a great day because after work, my friend Piyada treated me to a pregnancy massage at Bellagio Spa in Irvine!   She had asked me earlier on in the week if I had any plans after school on Friday.  Since I didn't, she made reservations at the spa for both of us to get massages.  I was SOOO surprised!  She kept telling me that she wanted to make up for not being able to make it to my baby shower at work.  Oh my goodness!  This definitely more than made up for that!  I haven't been to a spa in forever...and I know my body definitely needed it.  After our massages, we went to Zov's (a nearby restaurant) to get a bite to eat.  What a great way to get spring break started!

Today, Michael did not have work, so we did some nesting.  :)

We cleaned out both of our cars, put together the stroller, installed the car seat bases, and even washed, folded and put away some of the baby's clothes and blankets.  Tomorrow, we've got more cleaning to do, but it's exciting because the baby's room looks just about ready!  Clothes are washed and put away and all the furniture is set up.  All that's left is to finish organizing her closet, and washing her sheets and putting them on the crib.  It all looks so cute!  I'll make sure to post pictures soon.

Baby Shower!

Last weekend on March 26th, my good friend from CSUF, DeAnna threw me a baby shower!  It was sooooo kind and generous of her!   It was at her parent's house in Westminster, and there was a pretty good turn out!  There was a nice mix of my friends, Michael's friends and some family.  :)  We were worried a little about the rain, since we were originally going to have it in her yard, but her family was sooooo flexible and welcoming and just moved it into their house and set up some seating in their covered patio.  We had a great time, and got some really awesome gifts for the baby!  Here are just a couple pictures...

Me & DeAnna

Our soon-to-be family of 3  :)

DeAnna's mom made cupcakes from scratch!
DELICIOUS!!!

Michael's mom gave us the bonnet Michael wore when he came home from the hospital.
We've already packed it in our bag for the hospital for the baby to wear.  <3

I was so excited that some of my old co-workers from Disney could come!

My friend Sarah and her fiance....can you believe we've been friends since 3rd grade?!

Family :)

A picture before opening gifts...
we are SOOO THANKFUL to have such thoughtful and generous friends and family!

....and these are sure to come in handy very very soon, too!
