Baby Shower!

Last weekend on March 26th, my good friend from CSUF, DeAnna threw me a baby shower!  It was sooooo kind and generous of her!   It was at her parent's house in Westminster, and there was a pretty good turn out!  There was a nice mix of my friends, Michael's friends and some family.  :)  We were worried a little about the rain, since we were originally going to have it in her yard, but her family was sooooo flexible and welcoming and just moved it into their house and set up some seating in their covered patio.  We had a great time, and got some really awesome gifts for the baby!  Here are just a couple pictures...

Our soon-to-be family of 3  :)

DeAnna's mom made cupcakes from scratch!
DELICIOUS!!!

Michael's mom gave us the bonnet Michael wore when he came home from the hospital.
We've already packed it in our bag for the hospital for the baby to wear.  <3

I was so excited that some of my old co-workers from Disney could come!

My friend Sarah and her fiance....can you believe we've been friends since 3rd grade?!

Family :)

A picture before opening gifts...
we are SOOO THANKFUL to have such thoughtful and generous friends and family!

....and these are sure to come in handy very very soon, too!

Work Shower

Today was a long day at work.  Hectic, super busy, the kids were exhausting, and to top it off, there was a staff meeting after work that, as usual, had little to do with me or my class.  However...after that, my fellow Special Ed team members threw me a little baby shower in the lounge.  :)
The invitations

Such creative cupcakes!  I love the little fondant babies!

Although I really honestly hate all the attention being centralized on me, I still had a good time.  I am so thankful and feel so lucky to work with some really nice people.  The baby and I got some really nice things too!  We got some cute clothes, a pink bathtub with all sorts of bath-related accessories, a diaper bag full of things, some receiving blankets, a couple gift cards, and even a few handmade blankets.  They were so creative with the whole "cupcake" theme!

I can't believe I had my first baby shower today.  Wow.  :)
